Something pissing me off lately is parents coming into my job with their boys for the past few days looking for school supplies and being unreasonably picky about color choice. I work at an office supply store so I know that the first things to go are pretty much anything sold in a primary color. So I’ve got parents coming in with their boys and basically throwing a fit that all we have left are things in pink and purple because NO those are for GIRLS why don’t we have and BOY colors. Like the kids are perfectly willing to take the colors, some even say they like them, it’s already more than a week into school and the parents haven’t gotten them any supplies yet, of course the kid doesn’t care. Seriously people would rather have their kids not have the tools they need and wait for however long it takes for us to get another shipment than have their boy have a purple binder and then have the audacity to yell at me for asking why it matters.
